an abbreviated name derived from combining the two shareholders (Mitsubishi Corporation and UBS) of the Company’s sponsor Mitsubishi Corp. - UBS Realty Inc.

MidCity is

coined as a pun on “MID” of the former MID Urban Development Co., Ltd., (now Kanden Realty & Development Co.,Ltd.)which was the Company’s sub sponsor, and also by meaning to represent “investment in city centers (=middle).”
